等待方舟

The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
誠聘保姆
薩拉·湯普森,馬特·達拉斯,布魯斯·托馬斯,比爾·莫斯利,Monty Bane美麗少女安吉?阿爾布萊特（莎拉?湯普森 Sarah Thompson 飾）獨自到位于偏遠山區(qū)小鎮(zhèn)的亞當(dāng)斯學(xué)院求學(xué)。這里看似安寧，卻是個地道的危險所在，一段時間內(nèi)不斷傳出女孩失蹤并被殺害的消息。某天，安吉在學(xué)校布告欄看到招聘保姆的通知。為了賺取生活費，她前往通知上所寫的農(nóng)莊應(yīng)聘。雇主是年輕的史丹頓夫婦吉姆（布魯斯?托馬斯 Bruce Thomas 飾）和瓦爾莉特（Kristen Dalton 飾），他們即將參加農(nóng)場舉行的集會，因此招聘保姆照看他們年幼的兒子山姆（凱伊?卡斯特 Kai Caster 飾）。應(yīng)聘當(dāng)夜，山姆很早上床睡覺，安吉則獨自一人看書，這一晚似乎平靜輕松。但隨之后來的一系列事件隨即引起安吉的恐慌：默不作聲的騷擾電話、不斷撞擊的房門、沉默冷靜的山姆、經(jīng)常尾隨安吉的神秘男子。這一切的背后，仿佛隱藏著更為恐怖的秘密……

浮出水面的影子
沈傲君,張偉欣,李佳,姜武故事發(fā)生在某女子監(jiān)獄中。深夜子時，萬籟俱寂，女囚周露（李佳 飾）面無表情地環(huán)視著陰暗的牢房，壓抑著狂野的情緒，時間一分一秒過去，她像下定決心般把雙手伸向了睡在一旁的另一位獄友。黑夜過去，白晝來臨，在遭眾獄友輪番凌辱后，周露被管教經(jīng)緯帶進了發(fā)泄室中。監(jiān)房高處窗中射入刺眼的陽光，陽光穿透了周露傷痕累累的胳膊，那是她數(shù)次自殺未果的標(biāo)記。對著墻上斑駁的鏡片，她陷入痛苦難奈的回憶之中，冥冥間她似乎看到了早亡的父親，以及那個沾血的洋娃娃，又似乎看見了繼父那雙伸向自己的魔爪，還有被逼的瘋癲的母親，隨后又出現(xiàn)了向自己施暴的丈夫，周露徹底崩潰了......
防彈武僧
