巖園貞義（竹中直人 飾）是一名住在群居公寓里、相貌平平的公司小職員，早年感情曾受傷害，因此希望得到一份身心合一的完美愛(ài)情。某夜巖園劫持了慢跑的高中女生樺島邦子（小島圣 飾），本以為將遭受強(qiáng)暴的樺島卻受到巖園的殷勤對(duì)待，巖園表達(dá)了自己的想法，遭到的卻是一陣痛罵。隨著相處時(shí)間增長(zhǎng)，兩人的關(guān)系卻日漸和諧。 在溫泉旅行中，樺島放棄逃跑的機(jī)會(huì)，回到巖園身邊，兩人開始以叔侄身份公開出入公寓，在房間里盡情享受魚水之歡。不久東窗事發(fā)，巖園甘愿接受制裁，樺島則稱這一切都是兩廂情愿。 改編自松田美智子的報(bào)告文學(xué)作品——《女子高校生誘拐飼育事件》，取材自真實(shí)事件。

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
