經(jīng)營(yíng)批發(fā)生意的大阪日野家，女兒百合（司美智子暫無內(nèi)容飾）已到適嫁年齡，卻遲遲未選定夫家，父母為此甚為焦急。兒子正夫（田村亮?xí)簾o內(nèi)容飾）無心繼承家業(yè)，對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)也沒任何興趣，只醉心于佛像的研究。他對(duì)姐姐存有深深的依戀，并不希望姐姐嫁人，因此常與父母發(fā)生爭(zhēng)吵。
