　　Upon their mother’s death, siblings Jenny and Marshall return to renovate her crumbling motel, The Jolly Monkey. But as they work, a deadly force tied to their family’s dark past emerges, forcing them to face terrifying truths if they want to survive.

故事設(shè)定在20世紀(jì)90年代末的越南西南部鄉(xiāng)村，講述了年輕女子Lan（Ph??ng Thanh飾）在父親去世后，前往一位名叫Danh（M?c V?n Khoa飾）的鰥夫家中擔(dān)任女傭。她很快發(fā)現(xiàn)這座房子隱藏著可怕的秘密：神秘的死亡事件接連發(fā)生，村莊中流傳著關(guān)于“守財(cái)靈”的傳說(shuō)——一種通過(guò)黑暗儀式召喚的靈體，用于守護(hù)財(cái)產(chǎn)，但會(huì)對(duì)陌生人造成致命威脅。Lan與一位名叫S?n（Qu?c Tr??ng飾）的恐怖小說(shuō)作家聯(lián)手，試圖揭開(kāi)這些離奇事件背后的真相。

　　In a small rural community local police officers Zoe and Patrick begin their shift as normal but it soon becomes clear that something is wrong. Strange events unfold before their eyes, residents begin behaving strangely and mass suicide panic spreads amongst the community they are trying to protect. Zoe and Patrick realise they are under siege from alien machines as they become cut off from the outside world. They are forced to do battle against these uninvited visitors. With the help of some of the residents Zoe and Patrick begin unravelling the mystery and soon discover it is not all as it seems.
