　　影片講述善良的外賣騎手劉大鵬偶然救了一位富翁，對富翁千金馬小蕓一見傾心，而馬小蕓正陷入一場險惡圈套中，劉大鵬挺身而出，幫助馬小蕓戰(zhàn)勝邪惡的故事。

 依據(jù)1922年的兇殺案改編，描寫販賣私酒的匪幫和警方角力的故事。影史第一次以盜匪當主角，運用背面打光和煙霧，頗具藝術(shù)風格，廣受歡迎，也預示40年代黑色電影的來臨。
