Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 天啟四騎士

　　蘭斯林（丹尼斯·奎德 Dennis Quaid 飾）警官同時(shí)也是一個(gè)單身父親，因公務(wù)繁忙，他無(wú)暇照顧兩個(gè)兒子，大兒子亞歷克斯無(wú)形中時(shí)常扮演父親的角色。最近蘭斯林被一樁連續(xù)殺人案纏住，每個(gè)兇案現(xiàn)場(chǎng)都發(fā)現(xiàn)了至少四名嫌疑人的蹤跡，并且統(tǒng)一留下了“過(guò)來(lái)看”的血色留言，死者死于懸掛的狀態(tài)充滿了宗教意味，蘭斯林從人體懸掛的鐵架入手，發(fā)現(xiàn)這一干罪犯以殺人作為宗教儀式，并且以啟示錄中記載的“天啟四騎士”自居。第一個(gè)受害者的華裔養(yǎng)女克里斯汀（章子怡飾）主動(dòng)找到蘭斯林，坦承了自己與連續(xù)殺人案的關(guān)系，但是這不能阻止更多人受害，蘭斯林驚見(jiàn)自己最不愿意看到的事情發(fā)生了……
