難以啟齒

 羅生門，日本京都的正南門。云游和尚、砍柴人和乞丐在城門底下避雨，三人閑聊，話題開始，故事的序幕拉開：一個(gè)武士和他妻子路過荒山，遭遇了不測(cè)。妻子被侮辱，而武士慘遭殺害。慘案如何釀成？?jī)词帧⑵拮?、借武士亡魂來做證的女巫，都各有說法。真相只得一個(gè)，但是各人提供證詞的目的卻各有不同。為了美化自己的道德，減輕自己的罪惡，掩飾自己的過失，人人都開始敘述一個(gè)美化自己的故事版本?；纳缴系膽K案，成了一團(tuán)撥不開看不清的迷霧。談?wù)撏戤叄赀^天晴。砍柴人在羅生門旁發(fā)現(xiàn)一個(gè)哭泣的棄嬰。他決定收養(yǎng)下來，抱著嬰孩往夕陽(yáng)深處走去。

影片改編自《下妻物語(yǔ)》等經(jīng)典作品的原作---嶽本稔明的同名小說。故事講述了得知女友一周后就要死亡的“我”和“她”的青春物語(yǔ)。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
