　　有個驚嚇過度的小女孩在沙漠游走，唯一吐出的只有一個字：怪物！任何50年代恐怖片迷都會馬上告訴你，她所指的”怪物”就是巨蟻，那是在當(dāng)?shù)睾俗釉嚤蟮母碑a(chǎn)品。這些巨蟻非常有組織，嗜肉且體型巨大，約有8到20呎，它們?nèi)壕墼诼迳即壍南滤老到y(tǒng)，彷若一個巨大的螞蟻園區(qū)，準(zhǔn)備好要接管這個世界。要和這些怪物對抗的人類精英是新墨西哥警署探員詹姆斯惠特摩，聯(lián)邦調(diào)查局代表詹姆斯亞尼斯，和一對由埃德蒙關(guān)恩和喬安妮威爾登所飾的父女檔昆蟲學(xué)家。

　　Shipwreck survivors are found on Beiru Island (Infanto t?), which was previously used for atomic tests. The interior is amazingly free of radiation effects, and they believe that they were protected by a special juice that was given to them by the island's residents. A joint expedition of Rolisican and Japanese scientists explores Beiru and discovers many curious things, including two women only one foot (30 centimeters) high. Unscrupulous expedition leader Clark Nelson abducts the women and puts them in a vaudeville show. But their sweet singing contains a telepathic cry for help to Mothra, a gigantic moth that is worshiped as a deity by the island people. The giant monster heeds the call of the women and heads to Tokyo, wreaking destruction in its path.

　　Robbins is sentenced to prison for the assassination of his general officer, a prison you leave only when you die. Since nobody ever leaves the prison, nobody knows what the prison is like. The prison manager realizes this and buys himself an island playground called "Absolom," where the worst prisoners are free to create an isolated barbaric society, and where the strongest men rule...a living hell. Robbins is sent to Absolom after he almost kills the prison manager.

　　In the near future, drugs and crime have risen 500%. A disintegrating police force is unable to deal with this horrifying problem...
