雅士未央生（葉山豪 飾）精于書畫，對寧王（何華超 飾）之流奢華跋扈的作風憤慨已久。某日，未央生陪同好友至鐵府相親，卻與鐵家小姐鐵玉香（藍燕 飾）彼此一見鐘情，兩人隨結為伉儷?；楹蠖吮舜讼嗑聪嘤H，但無奈未央生床第表現(xiàn)殊為勉強，久而久之他不免有了非分之想。好友將未央生引見給寧王，未央生憑借過人的鑒賞眼光得以獲準進入寧府絕世樓，絕世樓乃是寧王苦心經(jīng)營的藏寶樓，遍地珍奇之間、蝕骨銷魂的女子可任意狎樂，未央生與絕世樓瑞珠（原紗央莉 飾）、冬梅（周防雪子 飾）二女癡纏，可惜他資質短小，始終不能獲得駕馭之感，女形男音的極樂老人（雷凱欣 飾）指點未央生換器之法。未央生手術功成，揚眉吐氣，豈知他此時與鐵玉香雙雙落入了寧王的圈套……

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
