桂治洪“邪”三部曲之首。民國初年，廣州西關(guān)陳家家道已中落到，只剩陳秀英（恬妮）、其入贅的丈夫楊振宇（王戎）及服侍秀英的丫環(huán)。秀英體弱多病，稍一走動(dòng)便會(huì)連咳不止，振宇是賭徒加酒徒，在外一遇不順心事，便會(huì)對秀英及丫環(huán)拳打腳踢，丫環(huán)無法再忍，別秀英歸家。這日秀英迎來自稱陳府仆人之女的梁綺華（陳思佳）。見秀英身虛體弱，綺華表示愿留下將她照料，秀英將振宇惡習(xí)說明，綺華仍毫無猶豫，秀英感激不盡。對這位新來的丫環(huán)，振宇自沒給予特殊優(yōu)待，但綺華也非“善類”，某日她瞅準(zhǔn)機(jī)會(huì)聯(lián)合秀英將振宇殺害。秀英從此陷入恐慌，終被振宇的“鬼魂”嚇?biāo)馈Ｋ了啦恢氖?，綺華原是振宇的情人，而振宇與綺華亦沒想到，秀英竟然“陰魂不散”。
