Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　日本著名胸圍公司的香港區(qū)總裁Samantha（劉嘉玲 飾）破例聘請了Johnny（劉青云 飾）和Wayne（古天樂 飾）兩名男設(shè)計(jì)師。他們的上司高級設(shè)計(jì)師Lena（梁詠琪 飾）覺得他們根本無法勝任這份工作，因此常常刁難他們。公司要求他們設(shè)計(jì)出一款“絕世好Bra”，可是多次失敗。　　在工作的過程中，Johnny和Wayne分別與Smantha和Lena產(chǎn)生了感情，最后他們也在各自女友的幫忙下，才最終把“絕世好Bra”設(shè)計(jì)成功。

　　飛叔移民到加拿大與兒子哈哈一起生活。在飛機(jī)上認(rèn)識了一位來自大陸的黃艷秋，并有意撮合艷秋和哈哈，飛叔與艷秋的姨媽是一對歡喜冤家，艷秋和一個(gè)富家花花公子一起，哈哈很沮喪，飛叔鼓勵(lì)兒子向艷秋表白。哈哈買下一塊地，想轉(zhuǎn)頭賺錢，但買家臨時(shí)改變主意，令哈哈欠下一筆錢，飛叔、姨媽、哈哈、艷秋開始了四人新世界……
