　　民初時(shí)代國(guó)家動(dòng)蕩不安，軍閥割據(jù)導(dǎo)致民不聊生。曹云(林青霞飾)是大軍閥曹將軍的女兒，也是一個(gè)愛國(guó)者。但是不愿見到父親幫助袁世凱以國(guó)家的名義向外國(guó)銀行借貸巨款，讓國(guó)家的財(cái)務(wù)更雪上加霜，于是偷偷與革命人士聯(lián)絡(luò)。但是一邊是國(guó)家，一邊是父親也讓曹云不知如何取舍而陷入內(nèi)心的掙扎。白妞(葉倩文飾)從小在戲班春和班長(zhǎng)大，被戲班主的父親（午馬飾）當(dāng)作丫環(huán)使，癡迷唱戲的她一直希望登臺(tái)表演，卻沒有機(jī)會(huì)；湘紅(鐘楚紅飾)是一位貪財(cái)?shù)母杓?，趁某軍閥逃跑時(shí)偷走其家中一大箱珠寶，卻誤打誤撞讓珠寶運(yùn)進(jìn)了春和班里。這三位在姻緣巧合下結(jié)識(shí)，透過這三位主角的生命交錯(cuò)，共同譜出一段愛國(guó)傳奇......
