歷史系大二學(xué)生趙坡（郭曉然 飾）是一個出身貧寒的男孩，他誠實善良、內(nèi)向羞澀，周圍的同學(xué)除了高干軍隊子弟就是來自富商海歸的家庭，與他們比起來，趙坡儼然是一只寒酸可憐的丑小鴨。偶然的機會，他結(jié)識了發(fā)廊洗頭妹甘秀（霍思燕 飾），這是一個出淤泥而不染的清純女孩，為了養(yǎng)活智障的弟弟辛苦賺錢。某天，趙坡帶著甘秀和同鄉(xiāng)何昌興（趙志剛 飾）、杜永慶（唐以諾 飾）外出游玩。但是卻目睹兩名同鄉(xiāng)獸性大發(fā)，玷污了甘秀。在此之后，甘秀從趙坡的生活中徹底消失，他四處尋找，似乎進入了一個撲朔迷離的世界…… 本片榮獲第13屆上海國際電影節(jié)傳媒大獎最佳導(dǎo)演獎和最佳新人獎。

　　A couple on the verge of a nasty divorce attempt to sell their empty love nest and move on with their lives, separately. After a successful open house they are horrified to discover, days later, that a potential buyer didn't leave their home. While Alice is being held captive in the basement, the unannounced house guest moves in upstairs. She senses her capture is being kept a rebellious secret. She knows her way only way out if she can only get out alive.

　　Shipwreck survivors are found on Beiru Island (Infanto t?), which was previously used for atomic tests. The interior is amazingly free of radiation effects, and they believe that they were protected by a special juice that was given to them by the island's residents. A joint expedition of Rolisican and Japanese scientists explores Beiru and discovers many curious things, including two women only one foot (30 centimeters) high. Unscrupulous expedition leader Clark Nelson abducts the women and puts them in a vaudeville show. But their sweet singing contains a telepathic cry for help to Mothra, a gigantic moth that is worshiped as a deity by the island people. The giant monster heeds the call of the women and heads to Tokyo, wreaking destruction in its path.
