辛苦打工賺錢的高尼（曹承佑飾）工資低微，但性格好強(qiáng)的他不甘于貧窮。有一天，他輸光了所有的錢，發(fā)現(xiàn)被老千所耍。氣憤的他去理論，遇到了老千高手平京長（白潤植飾），為了學(xué)到高超的賭術(shù)，高尼費盡心思拜平京長為師，并保證贏回一定數(shù)額就洗手不干。 終于，學(xué)有所成的高尼出山后，開始了老千生涯。最初他是想把輸?shù)舻腻X贏回來，但是人的欲望是沒有止境的，他違背了當(dāng)初許下的承諾，同時他的出色賭技引起了美女鄭老板（金惠秀飾）的賞識，并與另一位老千開始了合作。一輪又一輪的賭局中，高尼迎來了生死之戰(zhàn)。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
