Taken by submarine to Artigas' volcano headquarters, Roche is tricked into developing his experiment for evil intentions. The scientist’s assistant, Simon, struggles all the while to free himself and warn Roche. A magical world of baroque submarines and sailing ships, killer octopus, undersea bicycles dazzles audiences as human actors, puppetry, animation and fanciful scenic design interact to create a cinematic experience that is unique by any standards. 　　當(dāng)一架客機(jī)困在一堆噴發(fā)的火山中時(shí)，乘客和機(jī)組人員必須設(shè)法求生——在不降落的情況下。但在巖漿和火山灰的持續(xù)打擊下，機(jī)上的人產(chǎn)生了恐懼和不信任，威脅生命的不只是火山，人人必須學(xué)會(huì)合作，才能在火海飛行中活下去……

　　Anna is stuck: she's approaching 30, living like a hermit in her mum's garden shed and wondering why the suffragettes ever bothered. She spends her days making videos using her thumbs as actors - thumbs that bicker about things like whether Yogi Bear is a moral or existential nihilist. But Anna doesn't show these videos to anyone and no one knows what they are for. A week before her birthday her Mum serves her an ultimatum - she needs to move out of the shed, get a haircut that doesn't put her gender in question and stop dressing like a homeless teenager. Naturally, Anna tells her Mum to "back the f-off". However, when her school friend comes to visit, Anna's self-imposed isolation becomes impossible to maintain. Soon she is entangled with a troubled eight year old boy obsessed with Westerns, and the local estate agent whose awkward interpersonal skills continually undermine his attempts to seduce her.

　　一名男子因獵槍走火而身亡，幾乎所有的人都認(rèn)為這是一起意外，只有一向風(fēng)格強(qiáng)硬的檢事霞夕子（澤口靖子 飾）倍感蹊蹺。她執(zhí)意深入調(diào)查，但是最終一無(wú)所獲。與此同時(shí)，名叫安川初音（石野洋子 飾）的女子來(lái)到夕子老家的寺院上香，她此行的目的是悼念一個(gè)因被誤解而意外死亡的男子。安川種種反常舉動(dòng)引起了夕子的注意，她旋即又對(duì)安川展開(kāi)調(diào)查，卻無(wú)意間發(fā)現(xiàn)這兩起意外事件的關(guān)聯(lián)。層層迷霧漸漸散盡，真相逐漸浮出水面……　　本片根據(jù)夏樹(shù)靜子的原著小說(shuō)《路上の奇禍》改編，是3週連続　罪と女系列的第2部，另外兩部分別為《破婚的條件》和《魔術(shù)的耳語(yǔ)》。
