Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 崔智友,高東河作為程序員工作的職場媽媽米拉，11歲的兒子東明突然被判定為“1型糖尿病”，受到沖擊。醫(yī)生說她一輩子都要注射胰島素，對此她感到絕望，但她忍住眼淚站了起來。米拉活用自己曾是工程學專業(yè)的專業(yè)，引進國內未上市的連續(xù)血糖測定儀，給東明戴上，并聯動監(jiān)護人遠程監(jiān)測血糖。有采血恐懼的東明使糖尿病管理變得容易，米拉的家人從低血糖休克的焦慮中解放出來。在環(huán)友會會員的請求接踵而至后，米拉開始告訴孩子們如何直接進口并聯動連續(xù)血糖測定儀，以幫助他們和兒子遭受同樣的疾病。但是，米拉被指控是未經許可的非法醫(yī)療器械，在沒有通關的情況下進口，沒有交稅?！瓰榱思胰?，為了歡友會，她與世界對抗的故事將展開。
