影片改編自林秀赫同名短篇小說。講述諭明與依庭相遇于大學圖書館里的深度安靜區(qū)，兩人相愛并走入婚姻，正期待迎接第一個孩子。然而，依庭的意外自殺讓諭明陷入混亂與痛苦。他想起依庭在懷孕后變得異常，甚至提出離婚。自責的諭明照顧起依庭的家人，透過深入了解她的家庭后，開始理解她的行徑，以及她無法面對自己父親的原因，真相卻讓人難以接受。
