美麗的中產(chǎn)階級(jí)女子塞芙麗娜(凱瑟琳•德納芙 Catherine Deneuve 飾)擁有一個(gè)幸福美滿的家庭。身為外科醫(yī)生的丈夫皮埃爾(讓•索爾 Jean Sorel 飾)英俊溫柔,收入頗豐,但他卻始終無法令妻子得到肉欲上的滿足。礙于身份,塞芙麗娜只得通過幻想自己受人虐待和欺凌,并從中得到歡愉。 無可忍耐之下,她跑到妓院賣身,因?yàn)橹荒茉谡煞虺鲈\的這段時(shí)間(下午2點(diǎn)到5點(diǎn))出賣身體,因此她得到了“白日美人”的稱號(hào)。從最初的抗拒到完全的解放,塞芙麗娜得到莫大的滿足與快感。在此期間,她結(jié)識(shí)了職業(yè)殺手馬塞爾(皮埃爾•克萊蒙迪 Pierre Clémenti 飾),后者為白日美人的美艷與神秘所吸引,卻也將彼此帶入現(xiàn)實(shí)與虛幻交錯(cuò)的混亂之中……

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
