　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.

　　尤哈（薩卡里·庫斯曼嫩 Sakari Kuosmanen 飾）和瑪利亞（卡蒂·奧廷寧 Kati Outinen 飾）是一對生活在幸福和平淡之中的老夫少妻，兩人住在他們經(jīng)營的農(nóng)場里，離群索居不問世事。一天，一個名叫辛麥卡（安德烈·維爾姆斯 André Wilms 飾）的男人來到了農(nóng)場，他的車拋錨了。善良的尤哈邀請辛麥卡在農(nóng)場過夜，哪知道就此為自己找了個麻煩。　　原來，辛麥卡是一個油嘴滑舌的花花公子，他花言巧語誘惑和哄騙了瑪利亞，最終，瑪利亞決定和辛麥卡私奔。然而，來到了大城市后，辛麥卡才露出了自己的真面目，他將瑪利亞賣到了一家妓院里替自己工作。當尤哈得知了瑪利亞的近況后，他決定向辛麥卡尋仇。

哲學系學生肖墨到殯儀館實習，試圖探尋“生死”答案，卻遭遇導師陳輝離奇死亡。村里流傳一口“應聲井”可讓人起死回生。陳輝之子死于事故后，陳輝在古井許愿，次日離奇失蹤。肖墨隨神秘殯葬師老白頭返村調(diào)查，老白頭以科學逐一破解“靈異”現(xiàn)象：井中尸體、養(yǎng)女上吊、濃霧里的鬼打墻等怪事背后皆是精心布局的騙局。當執(zhí)念遭遇科學，謊言被真相撕裂，眾人方知真正的深淵不在井里，而在人心。
