影片講述了昆明翠湖畔的一段家庭往事。老人樹文在喪妻后想要重啟人生新的情感階段，卻與女兒們爆發(fā)沖突，在這場沖突中讓他看清自己在家庭里的“缺位”，也促使他重新承擔起家長的責任，在直面三代人，三個家庭之間深藏的遺憾與隱痛的過程中，展開了一段尋求和解的溫情旅程。

 《月光男孩》導演巴里·杰金斯日前敲定新片，他將把知名作家詹姆斯·鮑德溫的小說《假若比爾街能夠講話》(If Beale Street Could Talk)搬上大銀幕，故事設定于上世紀70年代的紐約哈林區(qū)，主角是一對剛訂婚的年輕情侶芬尼(Fonny)和蒂什(Tish)。芬尼被誣告強奸，而身懷六甲的蒂什將四處奔走尋找證據證明丈夫的清白。梅根·埃里森創(chuàng)立的安納普爾納將投資本片，也將和《月光男孩》制片公司Plan B、杰金斯本人的Pastel工作室一同制作本片，10月開拍。
