The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
靈蝕
桑德拉·埃斯卡塞納,布魯納·岡薩雷斯,克勞蒂亞·普萊瑟,伊凡·查韋羅,安娜·托倫特,康斯薇洛·特魯希略,安吉拉·費比安,卡拉·坎普拉自從父親死后，薇若妮卡就一直姊代母職照顧弟弟。思念父親的她，和兩個朋友在日全蝕那天，做了碟仙板以召喚她父親的靈體。不料就在日光完全遭到遮蔽同時，玻璃破碎，薇若妮卡陷入恍惚狀態(tài)然后昏迷，朋友們也嚇得驚慌失措。薇若妮卡清醒后回家，卻開始發(fā)現(xiàn)一些異象：東西自己會移動、看不見的地方傳來正體不明的呼吸聲……她覺得是她把父親帶回了生者的世界，可是這些異象卻越發(fā)不懷好意，讓她備感威脅。在弟弟的幫助下，薇若妮卡展開一項儀式要脫離靈體糾纏，卻召喚出始料未及的恐怖幻影，雖然薇若妮卡勇敢地抵抗，但她卻渾然不知可怕的后果正等著她……
天出血
常戎,蓋麗麗,于紹康,楊兆泉,洪濤沙漠里流傳著一句話：天出血，人死絕。故事發(fā)生在舊時代的西北，這樣一片沙漠地帶，它講述了一個愛情悲劇故事。年青的問九因鄉(xiāng)鄰間缺水爭執(zhí)而出逃在外，待回來時，曾與之心心相印的秀秀姑娘已被族叔迎娶，成了他的嬸嬸。水繼續(xù)威脅著人們的生存，問九的族叔為富不仁，竟以空手能否從滾開的油鍋里撈起銅錢來決定人們在綠洲的去留，他狠毒地騙問九替他撈起銅錢卻又暗地加害問九。問九奮起抗爭，砍死了族叔，被官府捉捕。牢獄未能囚住問九渴求自由的心。他一次次尋求機會越獄。數(shù)十年后，當問九逃出虎口，卻又被沙漠里的土匪抓住逼他帶路，對秀秀的愛情支撐著問九最后的生命，他再次出逃，掙扎著爬回自己的故鄉(xiāng)。但黃沙已無情地吞噬了這里的一切，唯有刻著綠洲村的石柱還未被淹沒。問九手撫石柱瞑目在這荒原上。荒原上，彩霞滿天。天出血，人死絕。
熒屏在發(fā)光
賈斯蒂斯·史密斯,布里蓋特·倫迪·佩恩,伊恩·福爾曼,海倫娜·霍華德,林齊·喬丹,丹妮爾·戴德懷勒,弗里德·德斯特,康納·歐麥利,瑪達琳·賴利,埃博·本森,艾伯特·伯尼,邁克爾·C·莫羅納,丹尼·塔貝瑞利,蒂莫西·格里芬·艾倫,泰勒·迪恩·弗洛雷斯,伊麗莎白·斯科佩爾,馬林·班迪羅歐文（賈斯蒂斯·史密斯 Justice Smith 飾）和麥迪（布里蓋特·倫迪·佩恩 Brigette Lundy-Paine 飾）因一檔深夜超自然節(jié)目而結(jié)緣，然而這檔節(jié)目卻神秘地被取消了，在暗淡的電視燈光下，他們對現(xiàn)實的看法開始變得模糊不清。
汝矣島
金太祐,樸圣雄,黃秀貞在金融中心如矣島從事股票基金工作的黃宇真外表光鮮，但生活究竟怎樣苦樂自知。從小獨自撫養(yǎng)他長大的父親病重在床，巨大的生活壓力令他不得不向高利貸借款，卻又似乎背上更為沉重的包袱。在此期間，他和妻子的關(guān)系逐漸冷淡，并出現(xiàn)裂痕；而老實木訥的他在公司又受到部長和后輩排擠，面臨被裁員的命運， 在某個沮喪的夜晚，醉酒而歸的黃宇真重逢兒時的玩伴正勛。正勛從小自稱正義的化身，他多次幫助宇真排憂解難。當晚，宇真一句無心之言，次日后輩竟被人殺害，而他的事業(yè)似乎也出現(xiàn)了轉(zhuǎn)機。在此之后，接連有令宇真厭煩的人離奇死亡，似乎那個正義的朋友暗中出手幫助了他……
