　　八十年代，女記者卡倫（AlisonLohman飾）正著手調(diào)查十五年前一樁酒店兇案的真相。當(dāng)事人蘭尼（KevinBacon飾）與文斯（ColinFirth飾）是著名搭檔藝人，1972年，兩人為慈善事業(yè)籌款而進行巡回演出期間，人們在他們的套房中發(fā)現(xiàn)了一具女尸……卡倫先后接近兩人，得到了蘭尼的自傳手稿，蘭尼聲稱死者莫琳因嗑藥過量而溺斃，但卡倫將蘭尼的生活習(xí)慣與自傳兩相佐證后發(fā)現(xiàn)疑點重重。當(dāng)年蘭尼與文斯事業(yè)順利，于是黑社會邀請他們演出，某夜，校報記者莫琳同兩人上床，無意中發(fā)現(xiàn)文斯的同性戀傾向并以此要挾。蘭尼懷疑吸毒成癮的文斯殺死莫琳，但兩人在黑社會庇護下都逃避了制裁。卡倫對兩人各自的陳述不置可否之際，真正的兇手卻自己浮出了水面……                                    　　本片獲2006年加拿大吉尼獎最佳劇本獎艾旦影視
