The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

李忠秀,具智成,韓素英學識淵博偉岸帥氣的任智勛(李忠秀 飾)是小有名氣的精神科醫(yī)師,他偏向冷靜思維人與人之間的情感,將一切都歸于最理性科學解釋,內心雖感深深孤獨,卻時常和不同的女子夜夜歡歌,雙棲雙宿,一味沉湎肉體的歡愉。他的同事兼好友俊基則不然,是一個追求真愛的傳統(tǒng)男子??』ㄟ^相親結識美麗的提線木偶師賢貞(具智成 飾),然而對方仿佛隱藏的無盡的心事。賢貞時常會看到恐怖的鬼影出現在她的面前,有時會莫名其妙失去知覺。為了幫助女友擺脫困境,俊基拜托智勛采用催眠的辦法為賢貞治療。 催眠過程中,賢貞講述了自己隱秘的過去,并開始表現出妖冶鬼魅的人格。禁不住誘惑,智勛利用催眠跨越禁區(qū),全然不計任何后果……
彈道無痕
趙巖松,陳大偉,王玉璋,劉大偉,魏琦根據徐貴祥同名小說改編。 鐵匠的兒子石平陽帶著父親的囑托參軍來到炮兵部隊。他的一股沖勁,受到營長莊必川的喜愛,老班長李四虎更喜歡石平陽不服輸的勁頭。李四虎是技術尖子,他對新戰(zhàn)士訓練十分嚴格,新戰(zhàn)士進步很快。他把石平陽視作接班人,要在自己退伍之前把經驗全部傳授給石平陽,甚至以故意裝病,讓石平陽獨立完成訓練課目。石平陽進步很快,年終還榮立了三等功。和他一起入伍的女兵張媚對他也另眼看待。教導隊招收骨干,進教導隊就能報考軍校,成為軍官。營長擔心比武缺了石平陽影響成績,因此改派與石平陽一同入伍的王北風去了教導隊。機會得而復失,石平陽有些想不通。父親去世了,指導員讓他回家料理,但他走到半路,想起父親的囑托,毅然返回連隊。李四虎復員了,石平陽接任班長,他把老班長的好傳統(tǒng)全部繼承下來,愛兵、愛炮、愛部隊,技術精益求精。同時入伍的王北風和張媚進了軍校,石平陽仍然當班長。排長調走了,石平陽任代理排長,這時,他入伍已有八年。團里為了留住他,讓他準備報考軍校。就在這時,新戰(zhàn)士劉發(fā)展一封雖事出有因但嚴重失實的告狀信,使他又失去了上軍校的機會。石平陽要復員了,副團長莊必川舍不得他離開,從車站把他接回,團黨委特別決定把他留下。石平陽又回到排里,他對劉發(fā)展更嚴格、更耐心訓練和要求,使劉發(fā)展深感內疚。幾年后,參謀王北風到部隊檢查工作,見到石平陽仍是上士,不免生出許多感觸。在集團軍的軍事演習中,石平陽指揮火炮群的準確射擊,令首長和指揮員們贊嘆不已。石平陽多年操縱的火炮由新式火炮取代了,他雖有些戀戀不舍,但他立即和戰(zhàn)友們開始學習掌握新的火炮,迎接新的挑戰(zhàn)。不久,石平陽被破格提拔為中尉連長。
黑神駒
凱利·雷諾,米基·魯尼,特瑞·加爾,克拉倫斯·繆斯,霍伊特·阿克斯頓以《返家十萬里》揚名的導演卡羅爾·巴拉德一鳴驚人之作。以戲劇化的抒情風格描述一名男孩在船難中跟黑神駒同時漂流到荒島上,人與馬建立了兩位一體的非凡感情。后來他們獲救重回人類社會,巧遇老牌馬術教練,乃被訓練成出色的賽馬和小小年紀的騎師,在一次比賽中獲得冠軍。全片的攝影極為優(yōu)美動人,尤其當時的童星凱利·里諾在沙灘上跟黑神駒玩耍的場面,在視聽效果上呈現出大自然之美的極至。米基·魯尼飾演的馴馬師在片中也占有重要地位,一老一少和馬之間的三角互動關系爆發(fā)出感人的火花,堪稱同類影片中的一流代表作。
