　妮蒂（阿曼達?塞弗里德 Amanda Seyfried 飾）和詹妮弗（梅根?福克斯 Megan Fox 飾）是從小一起長大的好朋友，妮蒂其貌不揚，對朋友馬首是瞻；詹妮弗是學校啦啦隊隊長，風光無限，追求者眾，她們共同生活在偏僻的魔鬼壺小鎮(zhèn)。某晚，一支名為Low Shoulder的搖滾樂隊來到小鎮(zhèn)唯一一間酒吧Melody Lane演出，詹妮弗拉著好友一同前往。演出伊始，酒吧即發(fā)生嚴重火災。妮蒂僥幸逃生，卻眼睜睜看著已經嚇傻的詹妮弗被樂隊成員拉進汽車，絕塵而去。
