　　保險(xiǎn)經(jīng)紀(jì)人葉永信(陳家樂(lè) 飾)某天接到一通神秘來(lái)電，電話(huà)中的男子問(wèn)自殺后多久可以拿到賠償，隨后他接到上司通知有客戶(hù)指定他去跟進(jìn)保單，葉上門(mén)拜訪(fǎng)時(shí)親眼目睹一個(gè)孩子吊死在屋中，他隨即認(rèn)定客戶(hù)為詐取保險(xiǎn)金而殺害兒子，決心暗中對(duì)朱重德(黃秋生 飾)和沈子玲(林嘉欣 飾)夫婦展開(kāi)調(diào)查，恐嚇隨即接二連三發(fā)生在他及戀人文惠儀(湯怡 飾)身上，在又一起命案發(fā)生后，他愕然發(fā)覺(jué)事情和他的判斷并不一樣…

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
