婚禮策劃師道生（黃子華 飾）因婚禮市場(chǎng)蕭條而債臺(tái)高筑，被迫改行成為葬禮經(jīng)紀(jì)人。紅白二事大相徑庭，令道生處處碰壁，但最難一關(guān)是要得到喃嘸師傅文哥（許冠文 飾）的認(rèn)可。起初因?yàn)槔砟畈缓?，道生與文哥沖突不斷，兩人的關(guān)系岌岌可危。但數(shù)次危難時(shí)刻文哥的出手相助，以及親歷文哥與女兒文玥（衛(wèi)詩(shī)雅 飾）的相處點(diǎn)滴，道生與文哥之間的心結(jié)慢慢解開(kāi)，也逐漸悟到“破地獄”的真正意義。

Apart from him and his 'socialite' counterpart, professor Summerlee, it consists of experienced discoverer Lord Roxbury, the young reporter Ed Malone -who got publicly struck down with Challenger's umbrella at his arrival- and Jennifer Holmes, Malone's news agency's boss's daughter, essentially as conditions for putting up the money. In Brazil they are joined by Jennifer's brother David and local 'guide' Manuel Gomez. They soon discover the dinosaurs are real and dangerous, like giant spiders, but loose their helicopter and thus are desperate for a way down from the isolated plateau. They learn Roxbury knew about the fate of Burton White, an explorer whose diary they find, thus presume to be dead, in search of diamonds, and confirmation of the local tribe being the lethal guardians of the plateau's secrets, but also get surprising help...
